Description
Horus Aged Ales is a 100% barrel aged brewery located in Oceanside, California. We believe in pushing the boundaries on how much beer can evolve through resting in oak by using a variety of different wine and spirit barrels, adding exotic fruits, and fermenting spontaneously. The complexity of the beer portrays our passion for experimentation and patience required to produce such a unique beverage. Horus has been a decade long dream that is finally coming true and we look forward to introducing our exclusive beer to the fine people of San Diego County.

Pours a slightly hazy, peach-orange color, with minimal head. Aroma is very fruity--lots of tropical and citrus notes. Flavor follows--there's a distinct Juicy Fruit gum element to the flavor, plus it's fairly sweet, too. Some grass and a light pine/spruce hop bitterness in the finish. Not bad.

Bottle from another IP trade with richiesd. Pours a pitch black colour and a dark brown head with short retention. Aroma's: vanilla first, then hazelnut and mild coffee, sweet. Retronasal it's nutty, vanilla, sweet, a bit alcoholic. Flavour is very sweet with vanilla, hazelnut and light fruit. Above medium bodied. Alcohol is well hidden. Long finish, sweet and nutty. Very nice, but also very sweet...

Ever so slightly hazy deep copper and bronze coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of candy, mangoes, papaya, full oranges, grass and a good amount of tart passionfruit - very nice and incredibly fruity throughout. Light to Medium-bodied; Super fruity flavoured at first with a ton of passionfruit, guava, mangoes, papaya and oranges with a lot of sweet candy flavours as well, with a deep floral and grassy bite towards the end with a tiny bit of malt and almost no alcohol noticeable at all. Aftertaste is very sweet, incredibly fruity and relatively balanced without any perceived bitterness at all from hops - they simply show fruity notes, but the sweetness and dry floral notes are ever-present, in a good way. Overall, a very nice beer - definitely not showing as a traditional IPA of any type - this is very nice with a super fruity and sweet profile that persists. Great to sample, especially fresh! Definitely worth grabbing if you want fruit through hops with NO BITTERNESS at all! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from the Department of Beer and Wine in Alexandria, Virginia on 17-May-2020 for US$5,12 sampled at my house here in Washington on 25-May-2020, Memorial Day - Thank you and R.I.P. to those who served our country and the family of those veterans.

Power tasting at Salesforce
Pitch black colour. It smells like a chocolate/hazelnut spread and pastry. Extrememly sweet, but also very rich chocolate, strong coconut and nuts; this is one of the richest flavour ever.
Gross and amazing.

Pitch black colour, oily, this has absolutely no head. Strong arom aof chocolate, there is some rancid coconut. This is the richest sweet chocolate flavour ever, it's syrupy, with complement of mixed nuts, coconut.
This beer is not about complexity or grace, it's about syrupy chocolate. Amazing, oh well…
