Description
Rooted along the upper tributaries of the Colorado River, Fenceline was founded with a curiosity and admiration for wild and historic apples. Reviving the region’s cider traditions, our cider is crafted with cold, slow fermentation — producing a drier libation, with complex flavors, and less sugar.

Surrounded by thousands of abandoned orchards that continue to grow in Montezuma County’s rich soil and arid climate, we are committed to upcycling the region’s heritage apples and wild, one-of-a-kind varietals into extraordinary craft cider.

12oz can. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a small white head that quickly fizzes away. The aroma is medium in strength with apples and some tree bark. The taste is tart apples, wood and some breadiness. Palate is medium-light with lively carbonation. Finishes short and dry with lingering tart apples. Overall: Decent-not at all sweet which was a surprise to me.

Can. Clear yellow gold with a small fizzy white head that instantly disappears. The aroma is big and bold with fresh apples and some mild spices. The taste is not nearly as bold as the aroma foreshadowing. The apple flavor is on the lighter side, mildly tart, but there is an off flavor present as well--sorta like a persimmon. The quaff is indeed quite dry. The palate features a light body and is appropriate for the cider. On finish there is a bit of acidity and some pasty stickiness. Overall: Decent cider, paired well with some roasted salted cashews.

12 oz can. Pours a dark red color wit a small pink head. strong aroma of elderberries, or so I imagine, I have never actually smelled elderberries before than I can recall. Taste was refreshing berries and apples. Palate was medium and the carbonation was soft. Paired with some sourdough pretzels. Tasted a bit like an alcopop, but was decent.
