Bottle, thanks pivnizub. Cloudy orange with a few yeastclumps, lively carbonation, fine golden cream. Sweet cookiedough aroma with preserved apricots and a few flowers. A sour grainy flavor note, citrus, still hops detectable. Very dry - I wonder if it still is good - very hard up against the BB date, but it is supposed to be a bock....

Big thanks to pivnizub for the bottle. The bottle looks good, but not really modern. The beer in the glass is okay, a little bit turbid. The beer starts very sourish, becomes more and more malty. Where is the sweetness of a good heller bock? It’s not more than an average bock.

Bottle (purchased at the Brauerei): A little, little bit unclear, deep golden with a small and stable, lacy off-white head, malty to dark malty nose with a light barnyardy touch (and a tinge of cinnamon or nutmeg ??); moderate bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied,; increasing bitterness in the drier, malty and nutty finish.O.K., a bit shy, but by no means unpleasant.......

bottle. Thank you MoritzF and pivnizub! Clear deep golden, nearly mahogany colour, medium-sized head. Malyt and caramelly, full-bodied. Hints of roasted malt, caramel and toffee. Pleasantly hoppy - a good one!

bottle, traded with MoritzF - thank you! Golden colour, slightly hazy, lovely creamy head which is quite large. Creamy and very pleasant mouthfeel. Flavours of herbs, malt and honey, well rounded by very pleasant resiny and grassy bitter hops. Extremely well-balanced and spicy. A touch of Belgian String Ale in the flavour. Very full-bodied and spicy - a great one!

(bottle, purchased at the brewery) Clear, deep golden colour with a medium sized, minimal off-white foamy head. Sweet cara-malty, slightly bready aroma with notes of liquorice and a tinge of herbal, spicy hops. Sweet flavour, medium to full bodied with a soft and well-matured carbonation. Caramel-malty, moderately bready taste with herbal accents from the beginning; bitter-sweet, solid malty finish a well-rounded hoppy bitterness. The alcohol shows up towards the finish with a good warming effect.

(bottle) Clear, deep golden colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet and caramelly toasted malt aroma, slightly sugary with a light herbal, initially short metallic hoppy touch. Quite bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, soft and mellow mouthfeel. Toast-malty and slightly nutty taste with caramel and herbal notes; moderately dry, toasty bitter finish with a dash of herbal hops. Aromatic and surprisingly bitter Festbier/Landbier, although it has only 4.9% abv.

Bottle (purchased at the brasserie): Deep golden, clear, small persistent foamy layer, bisquits, sweet pale malt and stronger herbal hops in the nose, plus a tinge of alcohol; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium to full bodied; heavy pale malt and distinctive hops in the slightly alcoholic, warming, a bit brandy-like finish. Good and strong........

On tap at the Dorffest in Grassmannsdorf: Cloudy, yellowish coloured, stable mid-sized white head, lively carbonation; wheaty-sourish nose; moderate sweetish-bitter(!) flavour, light to medium-bodied; wheaty-creamy, a bit fruity finish. Not bad, but unusually bitter......
