500 ml flip-top bottle from Biertempel Graben, Linz, 5.4% ABV, bb 09.10.16.
Orange, hazy body, with a big, stable, fluffy, lacing, white head.
Aroma of clove, banana, bread, vanilla, some bubblegum.
Tastes of orange, banana, clove and other spices, bread, yeast.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation.
Finishes spicy, yeasty, a bit dry, bready, medium sweet, with a subtle alcohol warmth.

Good. The nose is nice, well balanced between spicy, sweet, fruity and bready. Taste is a bit flat though, with too less malt body for my liking. Alcohol is also a bit noticeable, slightly disturbing the freshness. Overall a solid style example, but nothing special.

500 ml flip-top bottle from Biertempel Graben, Linz, 5.2% ABV, bb 19.09.16
Golden, clear body, with a big, stable, fluffy, strongly lacing, white head.
Aroma of bread, flowers, hay, some herbs, honey, some must, subtle fruits.
Taste is a bit lighter, but really crisp, with about the same aromas and some more citrus.
Medium, slick mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes medium bitter, bready, floral, grainy, with some lasting honey notes.

Really nice surprise. Crisp and clean, with lovely, distinctive bready and floral notes, that feel very fresh and natural, balanced by subtle, smooth honey notes. Pretty much how I want a Märzen, but rarely find in Austria, characterful, without any of the usual unpleasant notes and really quaffable.

Bottle. Aroma rich malty, caramel, coffee, roasted. Smells like a fresh roasted malt mash addition. Clear dark brown colour. Taste pretty well balanced. All about malt, caramel, toasted, touch of roast. Very good, sessionable, tasty.
