Draught@Levin Panimo 99130 (Levi, Sirkka due to gps).Interestingly dark brown (close to black) compared to the 4.5 % version. Aroma is a bit more roasted and toasted than the 4.5%. Flavour is quite much more sweet and with some ashes along to the 4.5 % version figures. (Sorry for once having done the rating with references to what another beer was like). Still, after tasting both Tummas (and most likely them being Saariselän Panimo(n) Tumma with the abv’s at the other place), I feel they are rather different, so there’s probably no water down version here, but actually two different maltbases trying to hit the proper abv’s for a stronger and a milder version). The stronger was said to be a "bit more warming for the midwinter" by the nice staff (=beautiful females) at Levi.

Draught@Levin Panimo 99130 (Levi, Sirkka due to gps). Kind of pale copper colour (maybe deep amber) with a slight off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel, some toffee as well as mild toasted notes along with some bitter notes. Flavour is caramel, toffee, some mild earthyness and very little bitterness. Quite watery palate for a dunkel, but it’s still darker than the general vienna in Finland (or Sweden), so hence the style....
