At Beatnikz Republic, we love all beer styles; our guiding principle is to make the beers that make us happy. We always use the best ingredients possible, from beautifully malted grains, to the freshest hops, to the juiciest fruit.
Over the years we have created, XPAs, APAs, SIPAs, IPAs, sours, porters, stouts, reds, West Coasts, New Englands and have recently embarked on our barrel ageing programme - so we have something for everyone.
Keg at Beer Asylum, Pinner. Light gold/cream, flat and hazy. The scent is bedeck'd with hop, although not necessarily Citra-like. Heavy notes of soft citrus peel (pink grapefruit and tangerine), some pineapple, along with a malty biscuit note and a musty dankness. Bittersweet taste. Doesn't get carried away with the hops, it's nicely balanced and quite sweet on the finish. Very little carbonation to get in the way of the flavour. Very nice.
On cask at Newcastle Tap. Shared with Finn. A pearl white head to a bright amber-golden coloured body, spotty lacing. Grassy nose, mid-sweet. Mixed taste of lemony hops and a backdrop of toffee. Ends bittersweet. Fair enough. (08.02.2019).
Keg @ Beatnikz Republic Bar, Manchester. Golden with a head. Has a mild carbonation and is hoppy. Blackberry gives it a sour feel without having a sourness.
