Description
Neptune Brewery has been brewing modern beers, inspired by tradition, since 2015. We’re a small but mighty team and proudly independent. Our beers are naturally conditioned and all the “uns” - that’s unfiltered, unpasteurised and unfined - ensuring the greatest flavour in each brew. It also means our beers are vegan friendly as we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy them.

On tap at Mother Kelley's, Bethnal Green. Half pint shared with Finn. A bubbly layer over a dark brown-reddish body, fair lacing. Moderate jam-like aromas, berries and dried fruits. Stewed flavours of berries and fruits, joined by dark malts. Lingering sweet ending, dried fruits and berries. Heavy stuff, quite alright, but too sweet for a higher score. (London 21.11.2021).

Can from the Black Toad. Appearance - amber to brown. Beige head. Nose - bread and toffee. A hint of lemon. Taste - bread, cereal, very light toffee this time. Grassy and again a hint of lemon. Palate - light to medium bodied, lightly chewy. Overall - sometimes this style can fall short by being too challenging. This seems to easy, perhaps going into red ale style. Pleasant enough though.
