Description
Neptune Brewery has been brewing modern beers, inspired by tradition, since 2015. We’re a small but mighty team and proudly independent. Our beers are naturally conditioned and all the “uns” - that’s unfiltered, unpasteurised and unfined - ensuring the greatest flavour in each brew. It also means our beers are vegan friendly as we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy them.

440ml can from Tanners Wines, Shrewsbury. Pours hazy golden amber, overly large bubbly head. Quite a lively pour, took a while to calm down a bit. Aroma is a little herbal, some citrus and marmalade fruit. Taste continues along similar lines with a confident bitterness, some underlying hoppy notes with subdued fruit, but not quite containing the oaty-smooth, low bitterness vibrant smoothie fruit that has come to typify an East-Coast IPA and which this purports to be. It's ok, a little rough around the edges perhaps, and needs a little work, but it's a serviceable IPA.
