Description
Neptune Brewery has been brewing modern beers, inspired by tradition, since 2015. We’re a small but mighty team and proudly independent. Our beers are naturally conditioned and all the “uns” - that’s unfiltered, unpasteurised and unfined - ensuring the greatest flavour in each brew. It also means our beers are vegan friendly as we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy them.

Cask @ Pie & Ale, Manchester. Black with a creamy off-white head. It's a smoothish mild and very understated in its character, but with a decent texture and 'mild' taste. Has very little aroma.

Cask @ Port Street Beer House, Manchester. Clear glowing amber-orange with next to no head. It's sticky-sweet with a light jam sweetness similar to the biscuit it's named after. There's a clear strength to it with biscuit in its aroma.

Keg at the CP&K, 29/12/17. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is lemongrass, straw, grains, white peppery spice, tangerine. Taste comprises lemon rind, lime leaf, spice rack, light green pepper, lemongrass, Thai spice, light yeast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. OK saison ... does what it says on the tin but couldn't drink a whole load of spiced beer of this ilk.

Can courtesy of Dad and shared with dad, consumed at home Christmas Day 2017 in the company of Dad and Isobel. Whilst I am planning how to make Mille Feuille Warm gold with a white head and a slight haze. Good solid bitterness, grapefruit, dry and with a little pithiness but there is a little sweetness. Good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Fairly robust stout, nothing out of the ordinary but pretty good, roasty a little watery coffee, it's a pleasant stout. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4
