Description
Neptune Brewery has been brewing modern beers, inspired by tradition, since 2015. We’re a small but mighty team and proudly independent. Our beers are naturally conditioned and all the “uns” - that’s unfiltered, unpasteurised and unfined - ensuring the greatest flavour in each brew. It also means our beers are vegan friendly as we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy them.

Keg at the CP&K, 29/12/17. Lightly hazed golden blonde with a decent off white covering. Nose is lemongrass, straw, grains, white peppery spice, tangerine. Taste comprises lemon rind, lime leaf, spice rack, light green pepper, lemongrass, Thai spice, light yeast. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. OK saison ... does what it says on the tin but couldn't drink a whole load of spiced beer of this ilk.

Can courtesy of Dad and shared with dad, consumed at home Christmas Day 2017 in the company of Dad and Isobel. Whilst I am planning how to make Mille Feuille Warm gold with a white head and a slight haze. Good solid bitterness, grapefruit, dry and with a little pithiness but there is a little sweetness. Good beer. A7 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.6

Can courtesy of dad, cheers dad, shared with Dad, Sunday 24th December whilst cooking Chicken Bhuna, Dal Nathaniel and Tonka Bean Ice Cream. Pours black with a sticky off white head. Fairly robust stout, nothing out of the ordinary but pretty good, roasty a little watery coffee, it's a pleasant stout. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov13 3.4

Can from Dad cheers dad shared with Dad, Saturday 23rd December whilst preparing Zarzuela. Pours hazy murky, dirty gold with a white head. Nicely bitter from the off and a thousand percent improvement on the previous beer which is a Connoisseur beer. Soft in the mouth, a little orange and lemony citrus. Great. A7 A3 T8 P4 Ov15 3.7

Can: Nearly as black as ink, small persistent off-white foamy layer, moderate both bitter-sweet and sourish aroma of toasted malt, dried fruits and ashes; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavour with a well hidden sweetness, almost medium bodied and quite soft; lingering dry fruity-ashy and bitter finish. Good...

330 ml can. Pours with a clear, dark golden color and a nice white head. The nose starts with lots of citric fruits, which decrease by time and follows by some dry malts. Taste is fruity and malty, with only a light bitterness. Nice balance.

Tried at Dead Crafty, Liverpool. Hazy pale golden colour with a big white head. Aroma is certainly Thai, with lemongrass and yeasty spice. Taste yeasty to light citrus sweet. Full body.

Cask at Pied Bull. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces slightly. Aroma has a nice citrus note supported by light onion, bread and hay notes. Flavor has a decent amount of citrus with a touch of onion and a light bread backing.
