About
Beers Brewed With Neighborhood Funk
At Resident Culture, the concepts of subtlety and nuance are heralded, particularly with regards to our lager beer, mixed culture and spontaneous offerings. Our coolship program reminds us daily of our obsession with a hyper sense of place that inspired us to transform an old family warehouse into a space that, first and foremost, serves our neighbors. We also have a genuine appreciation for assertive, hop-forward styles and strive to accentuate the character and quality of our farmers' harvest. We take our beer seriously, but most importantly, we value the relationships and family culture we have cultivated at the brewery. We are proud to have an incredibly tight-knit crew, all of whom play an important role in creating the brewery we have become. At the end of the day, it's beer that we make, but it's our community and the taking care of each other that makes the foundation we're built upon.

Sort of murked out but with a thick head. smells largely of hibiscus. But tastes mostly of plums. Mellow acidity, good balance because the fruit turns out to be quite bright on the palate.

(Keg at Sori Taproom, 20231215) The beer poured pale amber and hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, grain, spiciness and herbalness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, herbalness, spiciness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was spicy and bitter. A tasty grainy brew with unusual hop notes.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of mango, peach, passion fruit, vanilla and biscuit. Pours hazy pale golden color with medium sized soapy off-white head and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy citrusy, tropical and stone fruity, following is lactic and biscuity, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is pretty bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. I am (s)peachless…

16 oz. can from The Bat Cave. Pours a used motor oil black color with a light brown head and poor retention. No lacing. Some roast and old dark coffee grounds aroma. Tangy dark roasted malts and old licorice flavors, a little boozy finish. I'm not getting any chocolate flavor at all. Not working for me. This tastes like a bad foreign stout. Thin, slick, watery body. Very low carbonation, almost flat. Low bitterness. Not enjoyable. Super disappointing.
