500ml bottle. Clear, auburn colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, grey-ish, white head. Grainy, malty aroma with a weak, slightly bready touch of dark malt, whiffs of malt lozenge and pumpernickel. Taste is slightly sweet-ish, minimally sugary and metallic, dark malty, hints of malt lozenge, a touch of treacle and pumpernickel. Watery texture, dry, minimally repellent palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Rather thin, light bodied - not really convincing.

500ml bottle. Clear, orange, dark golden to amber colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, slightly lacing, white head. Strawy, grainy, malty aroma, a touch of spelt, mineral overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty, slightly bitter, minimally grassy hoppy, a mineral touch, weak and diluted hints of toffee, honey, Dutch gingerbread; the mineral touch becomes minimally metallic in the finish. Watery texture with an oily strand, minimally dry and repellent, simultaneously minimally cloying or rather greasy palate, very fine, mildly prickly carbonation. A tad too simple and monotonous despite the subtle honey and gingerbread aspects - so-so.
