Wässrig süßer, deutlich bitterer Antrunk. Ähnlichkeiten zum Malztrunk sind offensichtlich, wässrig bitteres Ende. Nicht besonders... 8/7/6/6/8/6

9th Oct 2015: 500ml bottle, BBD 13th Jan 2016. Shared with Marcusm, who brought this with him to my place. Clear body, dark amber with a copper hue, the creamy textured white head sadly soon faded to a thin wisp. The aroma was grainy with toffee esters to the fore. Semi-sweet taste, with toffee notes and nut traces. Decent enough, surprised it wasn’t a bit darker for a Dunkel, but tasty and leaning towards my sweet tooth throughout.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark copper-ish colour with average to huge, thick, firm, frothy, fully lasting, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of caramel, malt lozenge, some malt spiciness, a touch of curd. Taste is minimally sweet dark malty, hints of caramel, some grassy hoppy overtones, agains hints curd. This curd touch is interesting and quite unique - kind of lactic tartness and spiciness amount for a well balanced, higher complexity.

The beer is fresh and malty. Smooth, not too deep but nice sweetish malty. Fresh with hints of bitterness in the aftertaste. Nice and round.

0,5 l bottle from P&M Getränke, best before 28/7/2015, 5.4% abv. Clear, dark amber with a huge, creamy and very fine pored, stable, tan to white head. Beautiful. Weak aroma of toffee and nuts. Sweetish taste of toffee, nuts and hints of coffee. Short, slightly bitter finish with some grassy, roasted notes. Medium body, very smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very solid dunkel. Not that aromatic, but quite tasty, round and with a pleasant texture.

Bottled. Hazy pale golden, mid sized head, Grassy nose. Bone dry with light body and crisp mouthfeel. Really hoppy with lots of salty grass, notes of crisp bread. Really bitter finish. Great summer beer, if perhaps too bitter.
