Lyme Bay Winery is the home of LBW Drinks. Our small, dedicated drinks company is full of people who are passionate about producing delicious and award-winning English Wine, Fruit Wine, Cider, Mead, Liqueurs and Spirits from our home in Devon’s beautiful Axe Valley.

Here we combine our knowledge and love of flavours and ingredients with our wine-making skills to craft award-winning traditional drinks, tailored to the 21st-century palate Each of these amazing products is fermented, blended and aged, as appropriate, right here at the Winery under the supervision of our experienced team.

750ml bottle. Pours gold with no carbonation. Aroma is sweet honey, beeswax, lemon and mint. Taste has honey to start and a beeswax finish. Touches of lemon. Oily mouthfeel.

Bottle at Reading BF 2014. Clear gold no head. Spicy hazelnut nougat aroma. Haven’t had a mead in ages. It’s lovely. Love the cinnamon mixed with the hazelnut praline. Delicious. God I love mead. It’s sweet and decent. Slightly sour from the spice too. Wow

500ml bottle. 6%. Clear orange-yellow gold colour, no head and aroma of tart apple, slight barnyard. Taste is tangy bittersweet apple, sourish, with apple skin and vanilla notes. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite OK.

750ml bottle. Clear orangey gold colour, no head - afew shortlived large bubbles, and a rich honey aroma. Taste is sweet, honey, floral, woody, light spice. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, warming finish. Quite OK.

500ml bottle from Coed Y Dinas, Welshpool. Bis disappointing this. Slick, almost watery mouthfeel, medium dry with light apple flavours. Not great.

500ml bottle from Beers of Europe online store. Sparkling golden colour, foam white head that dissipates away and aroma of light apple, grassy, hint of sulphur. Taste is sweetish fruity apple with a tangy, vanilla note. Slighty slick mouthfeel, medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry finish. OK.

ABV 10% bottle shared at new years.Aroma is syrupy sugar, honey, musty and minced pie spices nutmeg. Pale golden yellow colour, slightly sticky viscous pour. Flavour is cyrstaline sugar, musty, minced pies, golden syrup. cinnamon spices. Very sweet and a touch meaty.

Bottle @ Scooper Tasting in Ulfborg. Pours clear light golden with no head at all. Clear atoma of honey, cinnamon, and cloves. Ditto taste, quite sweet. The teddy bear loves it bit I think it is too sweet. Oily texture. OK but too sweet.

Pours clear golden with a few white bubbles. Aroma has notes of honey, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg. Taste is medium to heavy sweet with a long warm, sweet and christmas spicy finish. Body is full, texture is oily to sticky, carbonation is flat.
