Keg at BD Soho. It pours opaque black with a medium tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malts, coffee grounds, toasty, cacao nibs, spice, ash, bonfire, charred wood and meaty smoke. The taste is rich dark roasted malt, rather robust, spicy, charred wood, ashy, salted liquorice, plenty of umami, smoked character, earthy, chewy malt and tar with a drying and roasted finish. Medium - full body and average carbonation. Very robust and pretty intense on the malt front. Maybe a bit too much and lacks a bit of drinkability. Fun anyhow.

Keg at BD Soho. It pours cloudy orange with a medium white head. The aroma is very juicy, tropical fruits, big pineapple character, mango, um bungo, bready malt base and some green hop character. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, juicy tropical fruits, pineapple chunks, mango, nectarine, pine needles, green, weedy, dankness, bread, brioche and a lick of booze. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fresh and flavoursome. Very nice stuff.

Can from Appellation Wines. Appearance - cloudy amber with a generous fluffy head. Nose - pine, lime and tropical. And something sweeter than tropical, like stewed fruit or quince. Taste - more quick, lime and resin. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a dry tangy finish. Overall - great stuff. And it grows on you.

Can from Cork & Cask. Muddy tan body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of pine, peanut and orange. Flavour of dried grass, pineapple, hop spice and chalky lemon. Thin to medium body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. It looks ugly and tastes raw and a bit disjointed. It’s certainly not a dud, but it’s my least favourite Dead End beer so far.
