Bottled as "Draught Dark Lager Beer" (BB 11/2009). Thanks oh6gdx. Dark ruby, almost opaque black color, mostly vanishing off-white head. Caramelly-toffeish milky aroma. Medium-bodied. Toasted malty, caramelly, light hoppy notes in the finish. Oily mouthfeel. Aftertaste has light coffee. When warms up, some saccarine. Clean dunkel and suprisingly good for being Slovak. A bit simple it is, lacks a depth of the best ones.

Bottled (as Urpiner Draught Pale Beer, 4.0%, silver label, BB 11/2009). Thanks oh6gdx! My first beer from this brewery. Pale golden color, small white head. Grainy, cardboardish, slightly buttery nose. Harsh, buttery, slightly hoppy and grainy flavor. Feels a bit unclean (not very rare in Slovakia). Bitterish aftertaste. At least has some flavors unlike many other Slovak pale lagers.

Flavour is roasted malts, some caramel malts, mild smoked wet wooden notes as well as some slight plummy notes. Very pleasant and even better with Toblerone white....

Bottled (as Urpiner Draught Pale Beer, 4.0%, from K Citymarket, Rauma). Golden colour, mediumsized white foamy head. At opening the bottle big rotten fish aroma... luckily after a while in the glass that has disappeared and gone into a sweet malty, a bit grassy/grainy notes as well as some berryish sweetness. Flavour is sweet malts, some grass, grains and hoppyness. Also slight saltwatery notes as well as some mild earthyness.

Bottled (as Urpiner Alcohol Free Beer, from K Citymarket, Rauma). Golden colour, mediumsized white fluffy head. Aroma is cardboard, grains, quite metallic and mild rubbery notes. Flavour is sweet grains, cardboard, metallic and also has some strange undescribeable sweetish notes to it. No need to try again.
