Black body. Big, frothy, tan head, slowly diminishing. Fruity, caramel sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt, coffee, sweet licorice. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and moderately bitter. Medium to full body, watery texture turning sticky, lively carbonation. Tastes of classic ESB caramel along with, bitter roasted malts and coffee, licorice and some lighter sweet fruits, pear in particular. Alcohol in the finish to add some peppery notes to the lingering bitterness and a bit of sourness. The beer is rich with lots going on, but the flavors, the sweetness, sourness and bitterness are not complimenting each other.

Bottle 27,5 cl. Courtesy of maneliquour. Pours a clear dark brown with an orange hue and a small beige head. Phenollic aroma with subtle roast. Medium body only, dark, dry roast and a bitter finish. Very British meaning I need some bette hops and a more distinct malt profile. 030612
