Description
As of 1995 the Courage brands were owned by Scottish and Newcastle Breweries. The brands were then sold to Wells and Young, and then Eagle Brewery.

The Eagle Brewery and beer brands were acquired by Marstons PLC in 2017. Following Marstons merger with Carlsberg, the Eagle Brewery was sold to the Spanish brewer Damm.

Aroma is an okay barley smell, but not much else. Looks like any other dark bitter, some head. Has a nice grape and chocolate flavour, but found it a little tinny. Seems to be an average kind for this style.

Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Some caramellic notes. Moderate bitter nice caramellic flavor. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Cask at Charlie’s, Copenhagen, on May 8, 2010Hazy copper color, dense tan head. Fresh malty and floral scent. Smooth malty dry taste. Smooth mouthfeel, mediumbitterness.

Clear amber with a medium off white head. Aroma was fruity with malty and hoppy notes. Flavour had fruity hops, pine, malt and hints of caramel. Finished dry and bitter.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Amber with slight carbonation. Light cereal malt aroma overwhelmed by a strange mushroom soup edge. Flavour was similar: sweetish malts and wet cardboard. Another poor British bottled beer.

Bottle from Asda. Deep amber with no head and slight carbonation. Bready malts, a hint of fruit and lightly bitter finish. Nothing to praise, nothing to criticise either, a totally neutral beer.

Bottle 500ml.Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, hay, toasted, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, dry hop flowers. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is light medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20100118]

caramelly light brown, small offwhite head. aroma of old lager, macro. bitter nuts, faint sweet caramel. flavor is old beer, bitter caramel, faint flowery hops, kinda nice if you like bitter nuts, bitter caramel style of beers.
