Description
Surfridge Brewing is a taproom and eatery nestled in the beautiful Witch Hazel Works property in Centerbrook, Connecticut. With a 10-barrel copper and brass system and a natural, airy vibe, the space reflects the connection between timeless New England sophistication with California roots.

Fresh brews, wood-fired pizzas, and local oysters are just a few of the delicious items offered at the cozy taproom. Our space is family-friendly, great for small or large groups, and our patio in the summer makes for a great place to have a pint with your pup. We also offer hand-crafted cocktails and Jonathan Edwards Winery wine.

Our mural by the talented Trek6, captures our tribute to the whales that have been a part of the rich history in Connecticut, as well as blue butterflies that have an interesting origin story with Surfridge.

5 oz. pour as part of flight at the brewery. Clear dark brown/mahogany, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is strong caramel, sweet malts, mild spice. Taste is earthy roasted malt, spice (but not enough to be winter). Smooth texture, soft carb, fin as taste.

Brewery draught, 4/24/25.
As pictured.
Quite toasted but I don't think over-toasted. Light mineral, very light caramel. Soft, herbal hops. Clean, dainty, balanced.
Clean and malty with a toasty caramel character. Strong herbal hops are appreciated to break up the monotony of the style. Not too much toast and a good lingering malty sweetness. Hey! This brewery is actually quite good, wow!

Can, from the Centerbrook CT location. Pours clear dark amber-copper with a large spongy beige head, caramel malt-rotten vegetable (?) aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter caramel taste with a bit of rotting vegetable flavor, thin body, long bitter finish. Not sure where the strange flavor stems from.
