Description
Bullfrog Brewery is a proudly independent and multiple award-winning craft microbrewery, brewpub, and eatery nestled comfortably in the vibrant heart of downtown Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Born of fortuitous circumstance and ambitious aspiration, we opened in August of 1996 with a committed 'focal on local' philosophy and a simple yet lofty goal ... to be the place that people need to spend time, to brew beers that people need to have in their life, to offer food that people need to eat, to offer live music that people need to hear, and to be the place that our beloved staff need to work. Bullfrog beers are renowned far and wide, especially our artfully-crafted, barrel-aged wild ales such as Le Roar Grrrz and Rood Bruin. Here at "The Frog," we celebrate life by creating outstanding and memorable beers, food, friendships, and moments.

So this says with oranges and so does this: https://www.ratebeer.com/beer/bullfrog-hopsphyxcitration-with-orange/450372/ so which is the right place who knows. Pale. First taste i green bitter grapefruti rinds, no lie. No way is this an APA, its an IPA pretending to be an APA, wtf. Up front we have lots of bitter citrus pulp taking over. Yes, each taste is a bitter blast. Nice lacing tho. Can’t get over how much green grapefruit rind impressions we have here. Whew. Difficult IPA bitch slap. Yes, a terribly on style IPA fer sure.

750ml bottle pours a dark orange with a ring of white head. Nose is big with acetic acid, grapefruit rind, heavy sour orange, fermenting grapes, candlewax. Flavor is heavy with acetic acid and vitamin C tablets, heavy grapefruit, sour wood, grass, a touch of ammonia. Full, tart finish.

Yeesh... Saw the low ratings on this one and was scared to try it. 2013 bottle. It ours a pinkish salmon color with no head. The aroma has some strawberry, cherry with some herbs, vinegar and acetone. The flavor is strong with the acetone and vinegar off flavors with some sweeter notes of strawberry and cherries in the background. Hints of an herbal/pickle thing going on. Not very good, but not as putrid as some other reviews have stated.

Bottle from facesnorth. Thanks! Bottled 10/21/14. It pours a red color with a fizzy disappearing head. The aroma has tart raspberry, blueberry and a little funk. The flavor has tart blueberry, raspberry and lots of barnyard funk with light hints of band aid. Good balance of sweet and tart fruit. A little acetic acid and alcohol picked up, but not overwhelming. Some spice and herbs in the finish. Well done.
