Draught @ the brewery. I had never heard of a heather ale before. This was lightly murky dark red with a small foamy beige head, sweet caramel aroma, medium carbonation, medium bitter caramel taste with spicy and floral aftertaste, thin body, long spicy caramel finish. I have no idea how heather tastes but it was quite floral. All in all it tasted a bit medicinal though.

Draught @ the brewery. Opaque dark brown with a foamy dark beige head, toasted malt-caramel aroma, medium carbonation, bitter dark roasted malt taste with some caramel, smooth body, long finish. Not as dry as Guinness, but still fine.

Aromas are slightly old resin hops, citrus, malt and onion. Flavors are similar to nose, add in a bit of stone fruit and melon. Bittersweet up front with slightly soft carbonation. Finish is a little melon candy. Not bad.
