Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Light amber, hazy body, with a big, creamy, white head, that won’t last very long. Aroma of yeast, must, apple, lemongrass, spices, grapes, earth, candy. Taste with about the same aromas, well balanced between sour, sweet and slightly bitter. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a medium carbonation and it finishes sour-fruity, medium bitter and dry. Not bad. Refreshing and with interesting aromas, although a bit light bodied. Sessionable beer, similar to a Wit.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Mildly bready cara-malty aroma with moderately fruity and delicately woody hoppy notes. Moderately bitter and delicately sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a tame carbonation. Slim malty start with hints of caramel and shy crusty feel, accompanied by mildly fruity, herbal and woody hops; dry and moderately bitter finish with sprucy and slightly woody hops. Lacks body and a bit character. 21.IV.14

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Mildly malty aroma with grapefruity and slightly herbal hoppy notes, accompanied by a touch of sulphur. Bitter and slightly sweet flavour, quite light bodied with a modest carbonation. Initially malty with present hops from the middle part with herbal, resiny and slightly fruity accents of grapefruit and tangerine; dry and bitter finish with herbal and resiny hops, also restrained fruity in the aftertaste. Lacks a bit balance. 21.IV.14

Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Dark amber, hazy body, with big, frothy, slightly beige head. Aroma of yeast, citrus, orange, grass, hay. Taste starts sweet, with yeast, orange, honey and grains and quickly merges into a strong, dry bitterness, of lemon zest, herbs and grass. Mouthfeel is medium, oily, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes long, strong bitter, dry, with not many aromas. Really an uncommon IPA, that isn’t bad, but just unbalalanced in my opinion. Especially the bitterness is much too dominant, while the fruit notes that could balance this are hidden behind yeast and grain notes. Too weird for my liking.

Bottle from AmmersinO, Vienna. Golden, hazy body, with a big, rocky, white head. Aroma of grains, hay, citrus, tangerine. Tastes of citrus, grapefruit, orange peel, grains, grass, herbs. Mouthfeel is medium, with a moderate carbonation and it finishes bitter, dry, with grains, herbs and lemon peel. Pretty unusual take on an APA, with lots of grainy and herb notes. Not bad, but somehow unbalanced and not what you would expect from an APA.
