Bottle shared at Alcuida hotel, mallorca, picked up from local Spar. A mostly clear golden orange coloured pour with a very lively white rocky head. Aroma is funky brett, dusty grains, hairspray, lemon rind, horsey. Flavour is composed of, bitter lemon, dirty grains, brett infection, dirty grassy lemon. Harsh lingering bitterness.. Palate is semi sweet, bitter, tannin. Moderate carbonation. Every single beer I've had from this brewery has been infected. This is no different.

bottle from el corte ingles. Unclear yellow, smooth white head. aroma is sligthly yeasty and sourish. flavor is sourish like apple juice then quite yeasty like a belgian beer, with a somewhat malty ending. Had this been a wild ale or a sour beer I would have thought it was good stuff, but if the intention was to make a pilsener, then it's a total fail of the kind you could expect to find from a new brewery 20 years ago, not now... Or perhaps forastere simply do sour lagers and I did not know that. In any case, I usually rate according to taste, not to what is claimed on the label, so I'll try to rate it while not expecting a pilsener. Should this one I have here be rated as a pils, it would be 1.8 or lower. BBF 13-08-2023 rated 02-06-2023
