(Keg at Bier-Bier, 20260122) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, ash, sweetness and metal. Palate was medium bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, earth, sweetness, alcohols, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt malts, alcohols, ash and bitterness. A somewhat unbalanced burnt brew.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy amber. Toffeish nose with mild grapefruit. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Mild pine and grapefruit, lots of toffee. Mid bitter finish.

50cl can from Alko, Espoo. Pours close to black with a medium sized, beige head. Roasty aroma with notes of licorice, dried fruits, chocolate and wood. Smooth, sweet and malty with medium flavour intensity and a balanced bitterness. Quite enjoyable.

Sweetish ripe mango but also resiny hops, malts and good body. Works for me.

On tap at Angleterre, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is dry, with black liquorice, medium roast, and some earthiness. Flavour has plenty of black liquorice, medium roast, and earthiness. Tons of black liquorice and roast. Very good.

On tap at Kaisla, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has some bittering citrusy hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is much the same, with bitter citrus, some pine, and some old cardboardy bready malt. Nice crispness but not great hop expression. Dull.

On tap at Kaisla, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma has some metallic notes, bittering citrus peel, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and bitter, with plenty of citrus peel, light metallic notes, and crisp biscuity malt. Not a great hop expansion—seems a bit old or just not great quality products or just not a great recipe!
