Flight at brewery. Aroma has a strong caramel character, I don’t want to say flaw but a little too much even for me. Flavor has lots of roast mixed with the caramel and lots of mineral. Lots of malt bitterness. Long dry bitter, burnt black patent.

Flight @ brewery. Things go awry here. The happiness I enjoyed in the pale ales is lost. The malts are dusty, floundering. Its one of those ambers that doesn’t know where to go.

Flight @ brewery. A bit too much dark roast syrup without the substance. Needs some more malt backbone without the black patent. Some oats may help. Much better 2nd b.batch

Flight at brewery. This beer makes sense in the context of the brewery. Its not a good dubbel, but I can understand why. Its not bad estry, meaning its not a banana bomb. However, its estry and fruity from the yeast. Its also alcohol rich and syrupy. A lot of this would improve with time. Its needs more conditioning but its in a good place where the yeast hasn’t gotten insane. The malt sweetness is a bit much as well. Needs some less sweetness and more conditioning.

Nitro in flight @ brewery. Why do people do nitro? Just for the appearance, which is nice with a big brown head. Otherwise, the nitro makes everything dusty and subdued. Roasted, dusty, mineral beer. I’d love to try this not on nitro.

Flight at brewery. Very hazy orange amber color. Lots of lacing. As the pale, very fruity and oily aroma. Not resiny and only a bit of bitterness in the aroma. Centennial, cascade, maybe something else. Flavor has the same character with more bitterness than the pale. Ends a bit drier than the pale.. Aftertaste of hops.
just had Batch 6 and like it even more. Sweet tropical (mango) hops.

Flight at brewery. Centennial hoos. This place makes hoppy beer the way I like them. Oily bouquet of hops. Not resiny, not bitter heavy. Nose is oily tropical fruits mango, sweet hops. Flavor has the bitterness kick in, moderate along with the other aspects. Cloudy dark golden color. Fuller, slightly thicker mouthfeel. Would like a cleaner looking beer and maybe a little leaner and crisper. But I could be happy drinking this.
