On tap at Chuck’s Seward Park, pours a hazy bright golden with a small white head. Aroma has fresh, leafy hops, a touch of pine, and bready, doughy malt. Flavour has plenty of woody, piney hops, doughy malt, and fresh leafy notes. Super wet, fresh, and wonderfully constructed. Excellent.

16oz can at home, courtesy of Rob, big thanks. super carbonated. dark brown color, huge tan head. smells earthy, spices, subtle caramel and sweetness, ripe fruits, tobacco. decent smell. full body, pearly carbonation. tastes rubbery, burned malts, peppery, tobacco, leathery, some veggies. finishes rather rubbery / bitter with notes of leather, pepper and rubbery notes. not a big fan of this, this has some issues.

1 pint can. Dark brown body, with a medium, creamy, dark beige head. Aroma of apricot, cocoa, toast, coffee, some dark berries, some dark chocolate, dark liquorice. Tastes quite similar, less fruity. Medium, velvety mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes medium roasty, a bit sweet, moderate dry, toasty, a bit wooden. Tasty! Very smooth and complex, with a lovely mix of fruity, chocolatey and roasty notes. Greatly balanced stuff. Score: 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 17

16oz can at home thanks to Rob. Unsure if this is the same as the "Chili Chocolate Porter", most likely. No obvious BB date. black color, medium big coffee colored head. smells spices, tortilla chips, earthy, grassy, nice smell overall. full body, light carbonation. tastes toffee, tobacco, peppery notes, hints of chilis, bit rubbery, soy sauce, spices. finishes lightly hot and dryish bordering on sour with notes of tobacco, pepper and spices. drinkable not overly special, bit on the boring side, could use a tad more carbonation. Chipotle is noticeable but not over the top.

Brownish-copper body, with a moderate, beige head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, dried fruits. Tastes quite similar, with more coffeeish notes, subtle barrel notes. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a moderate carbonation. Finishes medium roasty, a bit sweet, with some whiskey barrel, with caramel, dark chocolate, some coffee, some fruits. Tasty. A quite typical Barley Wine, maybe with a bit more coffee notes. Really well balanced sipper. 8 / 4 / 8 / 4 / 16

16oz can at home courtesy of Rob, big thanks. No visible date. almost black color, medium big dark head. smells earthy, toffee, some spices, light caramel, bit parfumy, pretty nice smell. full body, pearly carbonation. tastes earthy, toffee, coffee, medical, bit pukeish, hoppy, grassy, bit leathery. finishes bit dry and roasty bitter with notes of hoppy notes, earthy and some sour notes. hmm, not that convincing. bit on the sour / dry side, some hoppy notes, flavours all over the place, balance not that great. somewhat drinkable, bit weird.
