On tap at Flying Lion, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and gentle toasted caramel. Flavour has bready malt, toasted caramel, and a touch of spices. Not very complex or well-integrated. Lacking depth and refinement. Meh.

On tap at Flying Lion, pours a deep dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma has medium toasted malt, earthy hops, and a touch of citrus pith. Flavour is fairly robust, with earthy malt, big piney hops, and crusty bready malt. A bit muffled and obscured—not the most expert balance or clarity, but pleasant flavours. Good.

Flavour has plenty of bright piney hops, some woody resins, and crisp biscuity malt. Nice piney hop character, with good balance and good clarity. Very good.
