Nice golden color, white head. Aromas of grass, earthy hops and faint honey. Light to medium in body. Good flavors from floral hops. Dry finish.

Amber coloured. Notes of caramel and fruits in the aroma and in the flavour. Quite sweet. Some yeastiness in the finish.

Enjoyed while staying at Villa Waldeck in Eppingen, Germany after seeing a performance from Udo Lindenberg in Sinsheim, Germany. This was fine, nothing out of the ordinary or extraordinary, just a solid brew. Would probably drink again, if need be.

Enjoyed with some work colleagues at Villa Waldeck in Eppingen, Germany, while dining on a dish of duck, mixed vegetables, and potatoes smothered in butter. Appearance was a nice gold. Aroma I can’t really remember, but it wasn’t bad. Taste was nice and crisp, went well enough with my meal that I enjoyed a little under 1L of this for dinner...so it couldn’t have been too bad..except for my stomach. Overall, pretty good and would gladly enjoy again.

Enjoyed on draft while dining out with co-workers at a nice dungeon restaurant in Eppingen, Germany. I didn’t take notes while tasting, but I remember it being very lively in carbonation, lightish golden hay with a very rich, frothy white head. The hay/wheat notes were very pronounced and it tasted very flavorful, I enjoyed 1 L of this. Was happy with my choice, would definitely consume again.

Erdig-hopfiger, wenig oxidierter Antrunk. 10/10/11/10/8/11

Bottle looks very simple. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Starts quite mild, modest malty-dry, some liquorice notes in the background. All in all much too mild for a doppelbock and probably too less sweet. Not so good.

Draught at Palmbräu Gasse, Untere Strasse, Heidelberg
Hazy blond color; ordinary head. Light aroma of paper and mild hops. Soft mouthfeel, with a light residual sweetness, light straw flavor, and quite low bitterness. Easy.

Bottle from Palmbräu Gässe in Heidelberg
Hazy pale blond color; generous head. It has a moderate malt and hop aroma, quite fresh, lightly lemony. The body is quite thin, the mouthfeel dry; the flavor is rather poor; ordinary bitterness. A bit different than the ordinary Pilsner, and more refreshing, but still somehow boring.
