On Tap deep dark brown pour with a thin dense tan head and lacing. Nice carmelized dark sugars and bourbon barrel aromas. Definately porter and not stout, mild dark roast, a bit more sweetness and booziness. Clean finish. Not overly sweet. Quite tasty

Great, but worth 1100 yen? Nope.

Taster at CopenRoss. Dark brown pour with a small off-white collar. Aroma yields sweet notes, cola, root beer. Taste comes in full and rich, chocolate. Hints of the barrel come in at the finish, as a last hurrah. Well crafted. Hides its strength well

On tap at the brewery/taproom Deep redish amber. Modest bourbon character, full smooth palate, lots of toasted malts and a littel brown sugar. A big beer but very tasty. Subtle in its boozy character.

2022 review: On tap at The Beer Junction, pours a fairly clear bright golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank, citrus hops, some tropical notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite similar, with dank, piney hops upfront, and balanced with just enough bready malt backbone. On the drier side of dank, which works great for me. Very good.
2018 review: On tap at Georgetown, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of dank hops upfront, with a clean biscuity malt base. Flavour is less dank, with clean piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Creamy and bold. Very good.

On tap at Georgetown, pours a cloudy peachy amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out red fruits, resins, and piney hops. Flavour is along the same lines, with resinous hops, dark red fruits, some pine, and biscuity malt. Nice piney character, with ample fruitiness. Very good.
