Description
Seattle Cider Company is Seattle’s first cidery since Prohibition, bringing true craft cider back to Seattle and across the country. Bridging the gap between wine and beer with flavorful, small-batch cider, Seattle Cider’s initial offerings – Dry and Semi-Sweet – break the mold of overly sweet cider, bringing the natural flavors of Washington apples to the forefront.

Sampled from the tap at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a semi hydrated pee with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a nice combination of sweet apple and sweet citrus with a touch of bitterness. Flavor is more apple forward with a bit of bitter citrus coming through.

Sampled from the tap at the St. Paul Summer Beer Fest. Pours a very hydrated pee with a white had that dissipates to the edges quickly. Aroma has a good amount of juniper with an underlying light bitter apple. Flavor combines juniper and light bitter apple well.

Tried it on draft at the cidery/brewery, and had to get the bottle. Rating off the bottle pour. 22 Oz with a nice golden waxed cap presentation. Pours a clear color with a peach color tint. Has a big sparkling wine feel to it, fruity aroma and flavor. Strawberry, and white wine. Apple finish, and leaves a really nice, long tart finish. Very nicely done cider here. One of my favorite ciders that come to mind. I’ll track this down again.

Draft at the brewery/cidery. Pours a clear golden with no head. Fresh apples and lemon aroma and flavor. Very juicy and a small floral hint in the finish. Tasty cider, but not as heavy on the citrus as I hoped. Enjoyed it.

On tap at Two Beers, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp fresh apples and light oak. Flavour is quite complex, with medium sweet apples and light oak to amp up the complexity. Really enjoyed this - very drinkable and well-balanced.

I wouldn’t call it mouthwash but definitely more like tooth paste. I would say the basil is actually fine but the mint is unnecessary. The flavor has more apple thus the herbs are providing a nice back end character.
