Description
Our mission has been to produce vibrant, quality and innovative beer with a truly authentic team of humans since 2015. Structures Brewing was founded by James Alexander after spending years working at breweries in Washington, Pennsylvania, and Vermont.
In 2021, forces were joined when Bryan Cardwell partnered with James. Bryan comes from a background of world class brewing experience in Washington and Oregon. Together they have meshed their skills of brewing great hoppy beer and lager beer... while also loving to explore the realms of curiosity in Imperial Stouts, Barleywines and Smoothie Sours.

16oz (thx, Tom B.!) on Alex's porch shared with Ryan. Appearance: murky golden with a white head. Aroma: very dank, quite juicy, tropical fruits. Taste: dank, quite astringent and dry. Overall: pretty nice one, but I would be nore happy if it would be more jucier.

On tap at the Bellingham brewery/taproom. Milkshake cloudy dull orange/tan with minimal head and spotty lacing. If juicy pithy hop aromas and flavors. Stinging hop bite and a sizzling lingering bitterness. Great hazy flavors

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with short head. Aromas of dark chocolate, coconut, vanilla, and slick roasted malts. Rich flavors follow same with additional syrupy chocolate nougat and treacle. Super

On tap at the brewery. Dark brown. Thick head. There’s a fair bit of barrel up front. Dark chocolate and coconut right away. Mandabatmaz thick. Fuuuuuu so rich. Chocolate richer than what Cuauhtmoc drank. I’ve had beers that go above and beyond. This, goes beyond those. Fuck. I’ve had so many rich absurd pastry stouts… this is the most insane of all, and it’s got balance, style. Batshit. When was the last time I had a beer - especially not a lambic - this good?

Dark…basically black. Medium head. Deep coffee, chocolate, with some dark fruit notes. Big, rich, so much sugar, coconut is like drinking coconut cream. Enough bitterness for balance. Sick.

Deep gold, big head. Looks nice. Herbaceous nose, lots of bready malts. A Polish-pilsner-style malt base with Bitburger hops. Someone in Germany must be doing that; I just haven’t had it yet. Decent - moderate malt, clean pale bready, just as in the aroma. Hop bitterness is lower than expected, but the aromatics are about right.

Dark brown. No head. Big hazelnut and chocolate aroma. There's some toasty nuts, vanilla, a touch of fruitiness. Not sure I get the cinnamon here, but that's okay. Some alcohol coming through, fairly boozy in the finish. It's big. Fairly bitter, good complexity, tasty drop.
