The original brewery and tasting room in Ballard closed to the public in 2015 when our Taproom opened, but we still brew pilot batches here every week on our 5bbl system. Our Taproom features a brewery right in the middle of the tasting room, where we brew batches of beer that you’ll taste in both here, at The Brewtap, and in distribution. Our system here is 15bbl. In 2019 a new production brewery opened. This is where we brew the majority of the beers you see in cans and bottles on our 30bbl brewhouse, it is also home to The Brewtap, our second tasting room.
At our family brewery we brew from the glass backwards: designing each beer with intention, unbound by constraints. We know making that extra effort is worth it. From your everyday favorites beers to our innovative new releases, we help you grow your love of beer.

On tap at Reuben's, pours a clear copper with a small beige head. Aroma brings out subtle English hops and bready malt. Flavour is very English, with English hops, bready malt and crisp biscuity malt. Nicely balanced, with a good English hop character. Very good.

Clear gold body with white head. Fruity hop aroma. Malt and hop in good measure in the taste. Crisp finish.

Called a Pre Prohibition lager on the tap list. Clear yellow body with white head. Light hoppy aroma. Hoppy taste, more than most lagers and a crisp finish.

Can. Deep brown pour with a small beige head. Nose is heavy roast with a light sweetness. Taste is more of the deep roast, light hints of smoke and a modest bitter end.

Red waxed bomber pours with a clear deep copper amber colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up plum running into toffee like reduced sugars and some boozy heat on the nose. The taste delivers smooth sweet maltiness as well as plum to date like sweet dark fruity esters to start. The prickly booziness hits early and then quickly warms up the experience. Toward the finish it picks up a spicy maple drizzled pecans and then the barrel treatment takes over into the after taste.

On tap at Pourhouse, pours a clear bright golden with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a spicy, peppery hop character with a crisp toasted biscuity malt base. Flavour is on the grainy side, with a spicy hop character and toasted grainy malt. Not getting the brightness expected from the Nelson. A bit too grainy and spicy but decently made.

22 oz waxed cap bomber poured to a tulip. Murky reddish brown pour with a swirl a foam head. Bready malts and soft dark fruit nose. Not as much barrel as I expected here, but its there. Slightly rich taste. Smooth finish, amd easy drinking for double digit barrel aged brew. Unique and ultimately interesting.

Draft pour enjoyed at Reubens, followed by a can later on. Rating the draft from backlog. Clean copper pour, with a patchy foam. Sticky lacing. Layered aroma and matching flavor of caramel, toffee. Pretty boozy throughout, but not too surprised at this element. Slight metallic on the palate. Long lasting bold caramel malt finish. Big, flavorful barleywine here. Fun collab.

Draft pour enjoyed at Reuben's. Rating from backlog. Tons of froth foam head and lacing. Creamy body, so already unique as far as style goes. Earthy, grassy hop and malt balance. Smooth taste, with very little of the expected bitterness or bite. I've decided its impossible to make an original standout cold IPA, but this one gets as close as I've seen. Good brew.

Draft pour at Reuben's. Rating from backlog. Somewhat hazy golden yellow appearance. Lasting fizz head. Juicy melon hop profile on aroma and flavor. Soft grassy afterthought. Slight bite to this west coast brew, just how it should be. Moderately bitter, and ultimately tasty. Solid IPA.
