Draft pour pint at Cloudburst. Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a thin fizz head. Grassy hops aroma. Flavor is grassy up fromt, with a bitter hop profile, and late hints of citrus. Slightly cool finish to pair. Overall good, but less standout than I have grown to expect from them.

Draft at Chuck’s CD. Completely murky yellow. Not a saison. American Belgian ale, moderate esters on nose. Low banana, mineral, slightly watery, Belgian esquire flavor. Spices don’t actually emit grapefruit or rosemary. Boring and equivalent to Belgian takes from a decade ago.

A beer that references one of my all time favorite movies. I love it already. She’s a mega babe. Draft 8 Oz pour on my on foot Seattle crawl. Stop #5. Pours a cloudy orange color with a soapy bubble head. Wet, citrus fruit aroma. Flavor is grassy hops up front, and a bit vegetal. Sweet and butter paired. Sweet orange fruit finish. Interesting brew, but a little less what I prefer in an imperial IPA. Still pretty good. Very fun to try.

Draft 13 Oz pour at Sixgill, stop #5 on my on foot Seattle crawl. This was not a part of my crawl plans, because I read they were closed on Mondays. Instead, I walk past, see they are open, and find 2 draft Cloudburst beers I was missing Amber copper pour with a steady foam head and lace. Watery, malt aroma. Flavor is well balanced, with sweet malt and bold hops. Lingering orange fruit and hop to it. As i go through it the fruit punch really starts to come through. Not the easiest drinking IIPA, but still solid to say the least. Very nice beer. Retry: at Cloudburst. Still awesome, a little more punch than before. Still very much enjoyable.

4th rater, buttplugs! The only unfiltered one in the Hop Mob sampler at BPP. Cloudy, thick golden with the most lacing in the sampler. I think I’m smelling pine and Mosiac. A little grassy. Not malt sweet as much as the other 3xIPAs but light sweetness nonetheless. Too green in the hops for my tastes, hops don’t pop. My first Cloudburst beer and it’s just ok, like most of Seattle.

Draft 12 Oz pour at Toronado. Pours a cloudy yellow orange with no shortage of foam head. Spice forward aroma, and floral heavy. Medium bodywork a ton of floral notes. However a bit watery on the late palate. Up front herbal notes to it. Very cool finish. Enjoyed more than version 1. A bit juicy late. This series has a chance to be one of a kind. Enjoyed this one. Second time around: The fine folks at Cloudburst say we won’t see batch 3 until this is gone. I’m anxious. In the time that I have nothing new to rate here, I am trying to enjoy the good beer until it’s depleted, and then Raye the new stuff. This is what beer drinking is all about. Good stuff

On tap at Cloudburst, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is intense, with candied sugar, resinous hops and caramel malt. Flavour is huge, with resinous hops, caramel malt and some fairly intense candied sugar residual sweetness. Works really well together despite the high sweetness on the end. Cohesive and quite drinkable. Very good.

On tap at Cloudburst, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out some toasted malt, a little coffee and a touch of brine. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt, some roast and briney notes. Nice enough for the style - the oysters don't lend too much of a briney presence. Meh.

On tap at Cloudburst, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out pungent piney and resinous hops, with some citrus in there. Flavour is quite robust, with sharp citrus hops and an astringent biscuity malt finish. Well-constructed despite the abrasiveness. Very nice.

On tap at Cloudburst, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of citrus hops, a little pine, a little resin and a bone dry biscuity malt. Flavour is extremely well-balanced, with piney hops, citrus and just enough sweet malt. Finishes astringent and with a touch of desirable sweetness. Excellent stuff.
