Tap at Wuppertal Brauhaus, 28/04/13. Hazed golden amber with a good sized eggshell white head. Nose is pale malts, grass, hint of orange, spruce, light spice. Taste comprises pale malts, light citrus, orange sherbet, grass, light sugar, cereals, hint of caramel. Medium bodied with light spritzy carbonation, dry in the finish. Easy drinking but a little boring.

5.3% Hefiger, leicht bitter-säuerlicher Antrunk. Insgesamt intensiver im Mittelteil, die Heftigkeit fällt dabei zurück. Minimale Herbe, süffig, geringe Bananigkeit. 11/11/12/11/7/11

bottle, donated by pivnizub! Deep golden colour, malty nose. The name suggests hops, the beer starts very malty, however. Dry hops blend in towards the finish. Not very hoppy, but quite nice, nevertheless!

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice head. Starts not as hoppy as exspected, more malty-spicy with a mild dry background. Finish with more grasy notes, a bit sourish. Not as exspected, but still not bad.

(swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a big and blond foamy head. Draffy malty aroma with traces of citrus and metallic hops. Mildly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a slightly sharp carbonation. Pale malt upfront with traces of cara-malt, backed by a mildly herbal hoppy background; moderately dry and bitter finish, again with herbal accents. Likeable but nothing special. 22.XII.12

Herber, leicht malziger Antrunk. Getreidig werdend, starke Karbonisierung. Schwacher Gesamteindruck. Trinkbar. 9/8/8/8/9/8

Bügelverschlußflasche: Deep golden, clear, small, loose and quickly collapsing white head, delicate caramelly-grainy nose with a faint metallic tinge and a slight herbal-hoppy background; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, a bit fizzy; caramelly-bitter finish with delicate traces of aromatic hops. Quite nice surprise…

Pours hazy straw with sweet notes of malt. Palate shows a nice cereal malt flavor with a nice long malt driven finish.

Light brown body. Aroma is hard to find but I sense some sweet burnt malt. Flavor is little hopy and burnt sugar.

Bottle(10dl): Deep golden, hazy, stable and lacy off-white head, slightly phenolic or - better - infected fruity nose, sweet caramel underneath; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 6.8%, but also pretty soft; traces of warming alcohol in the slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish.
