Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a small foamy white head that left no lacing. The aroma was wheaty and medicinal. The flavor was tangy, medicinal, a bit malty and had touches of sugar and vague fruit. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

Bottle from Epsom Circle Market. Aroma is interesting roasted hazelnut with hints of chocolate, a little bit like cigarette ash. Appearance is nice deep clear reddish brown with 1-2 finger width creamy beige head with good retention and moderate lacing. Taste is as aroma--rich hazelnuts with hints of chocolate and smokiness, well balanced bitter and sweet. Palate is medium bodied, moderately thick and creamy, with a tad too much carbonation that bites the front of the tongue. Pleasant moderately long smokey bitter finish. Overall, this scores pretty well on every front--a real diamond in the rough! Not the most complex, but tasty.

Bottle from Foods Plus, Plaistow, NH. Aroma is strong fruity-peach and grapefruit with notes of pepper. Appearance is clear golden yellow with lively carbonation and good sparkle. No head to speak of and no lacing. Taste is medium sweet lightly peach up front with slightly bitter grapefruit for last half. Palate is light bodied with thin, crisp texture and slightly above average carbonation. A good, highly drinkable beer that’s a little bit different and goes down easy, especially on hot summer days.

From tap in Orlando as Hop-ified IPA, west coast style IPA, 5.8%. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Light citrusy and grassy hoppy. Bitter, grassy and toasted malty. Dry and bitter finish. Mild soapy.

dark brown to black Nose is nice. aroma is certainly hazelnut heavy. taste is roasted old chocolate, some rye, kind of stale tasting but hazelnut does come through.
