Draft at the brewpub (7.6%). Aroma of dark toasted malt. Color is opaque black with a low tan head. Medium body with very mild carbonation. Quite smooth. The flavor is dark toasted, but not burnt, malt with a small sour undernote. There is bitter, but it is obscured by the toasted character. Very good stout.

Draft at the brewpub (5.3%). Toasted malt aroma. Color is very dark mahogany with an intermittent tan head. Body is near medium; carbonation is mild and creamy. Very smooth. Flavor is toasted malt and a little hop. No particular notes of coffee or chocolate. Perhaps a little anise. Reasonably dry, toasted and slightly bitter finish.

On draft at the brewpub (7.6%). Deep roasted malt aroma with a touch of smoke. Very dark amber color with a minimal beige head. Medium body and very mild carbonation. Dark roasted flavor with no real sign of hop. The finish is a bit sweet, balanced only by the roasted aspect. Eventually some bitter does build up in the mouth.
