APPEARANCE: dark brown color with ruby body against light and translucent. Beige moderate head, creamy, with average retention for the stated 10% abv. some lacing. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a peppery alcohol presence and a sweet background. some dark chocolate notes. medium to medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry finish, with some roasted notes. PALATE: medium body with a slight velvety texture. soft alcoholic warmth. medium-low carbonation. OVERALL: a good strong beer that would gain another dimension with more esters present.
