On tap at the Sharp Edge Brasserie. Very nice slightly hazy pour, otherwise just plain pale yellow. Creamy head and a clean beery attrractive aroma. Very little if any carbonation. A little bitter, but not in a hoppy way. Taste evolution is interesting, it starts off interestingly mild then evolves into a medium bitter bite. This is with each sip mind you. Nice lacing. Finish is also a medium length bitter linger.

Bottled(330ml). -Hazy dark brown coloured, medium sized creamy beige head, sweet honey and light fruity nose. Sweet malty, light roasty and dried fruits with notes of caramel and touch of spices. Light alcoholic and rather fruity finish. Is this a stout...I don’t think so... 8.2%.

Bottle @ Café de Paas. Golden yellow colour, big white head. Aroma of hops, yeast, spice. Flavour is a bit sweet malty, yeasty and spicy with a nice bitter taste that lasts. Very nice blond beer.[br]4/8/2012: On tap at Gollem’s Proeflokaal. Slightly hazy golden colour, pillowy white head. Aroma is spicy, light fruity, a bit tangy, light hoppy. Flavour is sweet, light malty, spicy, fruity, bittersweet finish with a little citrus. Medium bodied. They’ve always been quite secretive about who brews this, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just a re-brand. AFAIK this beer is from De Koninck.

An interesting hybrid. Kind of an English malt character but with Belgian yeast. Roasted malt and nuts. Big frothy head and black in color. A nice beer, but shouldn’t it be an imperial at this abv?

Bottled. Deep brownish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is plum, spices, yeast and sweet malts along with some breadyness. Flavour is very plummy, quite alcoholic, sweeet malts as well as some dark dry fruits and chocolate. Though the alcohol is quite apparent, the beer is very wellbalanced.
