Description

Since 1870 our family, the Meens family, has been brewing its Alfa beers in the traditional way. Alfa Bier's brewing process is still the traditional brewing process. The recipe, the method of brewing and the raw materials have consciously never changed, because we do not compromise on the quality of our beer. Alfa is the only brewery in the Netherlands to have 100% pure spring water from an officially recognized source. That water from our own source determines the special, pure and full taste of our Alfa Beers.

Pours brown color with a thin brown head. Aroma of caramel and malty. A litte sweet malty taste. Thin body.

Blik 50cl thuis. Maltig zoet, maar niet té. Hoppig toontje. Verrassend voor imperial pils. Tonen van banaan. (5-2014).

Draught @ Bierfabriek Amsterdam in the company of Lothore. Hazy pale yellow color, decent sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Smell and taste lightly malts, lightly grainy, lightly bitter. Low to average body and carbonation. Meh.

Clear light amber with nice white head. Lots of sweet malts, light spice, broccoli, honey and cardboard. Medium bodied. Yeah, not my thing at all, but similar to others in the style.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit ordentlicher Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig, getreidig ,süß. Geschmack malzig, leicht fruchtig, getreidig, süß, leicht alkoholisch.

Can. An yellow beer with a thin head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt and metal, and so is the flavor.

Clear amber colour, good frothy off-white head mostly lasting, nice lacing. Sweet malty aroma, grain, caramel, bit toasted, herbal hops. Flavour medium sweet, mild bitterness, bit fizzy on the tongue. Smooth bittersweet finish, bit alcoholic.
