Crowler bought at Skull Tree December 22nd.

Pours a slightly hazy amber gold with an inch of foam.

Smells of lightly tart cherries, wheat, more tartness. Simple but effective.

Taste is cherry tartness, wheat, some acetic tartness but that's on the mild side.

Good mouthfeel for the abv.

Nice fruity tart beer.

Crowler bought at Skull Tree, November 24th.

It pours a clear bright gold with a finger of foam initially. Settles down to a few islands and a ring around the glass.

The smell hit my nosebuds as soon as I opened it. Hop oils goodness. Piney to the max. The base beer is County 1 so I also picked up some honey and sweet malt.

Lovely interaction between the hop oil bitterness and the honey sweetness. The bitterness isn't huge, that will probably come about when Ty uses the hop oils in an IPA, which is coming soon.

So drinkable, nice mouthfeel.

Promising start to this series!

On draught at Skull Tree.

Pours a pitch black with a small tannish head of foam.

Smell is of coffee, roasted malt, light but right.

The taste has a smooth coffee flavour, good roasted malt, some chocolate of the dark kind.

Medium body with slightly less than medium carbonation.

Nice brew.

Crowler style from the brewery.

A vigorous pour doesn't produce a very big head of foam. Aboot a quarter of an inch but that wee bit still leaves a little lacing.

The smell is cloves, bananas, wheat.

The taste has strong cloves, fairly strong bananas, wheat, earthy malt but has a bitterness to it, especially in the finish, that I'm not fond of.

Light body with lowish carbonation, it seems to get somewhat thin, again, in the finish.

I like well brewed Hefeweizens but, unfortunately, this isn't one of them.

Crowler filled today, April 14th 2020.

It pours a not quite clear gold with a fine layer of foam after the initial pour. I'd describe the lacing as good.

The smell has notes of yeast, caramel malt and, of course, huge wafts of peppers.

There's some sweetness and grain and maybe a bit of lemon but the chilies take center stage and they are HOT.
It takes aboot 5 seconds before I get layer after layer of heat and my mouth is literally on fire for minutes after each sip and swallow. My oh my.

Medium bodied with medium carbonation.

Twisted Pine Ghost Face Killah, you're not the only one that can bring the heat!!

From a Crowler bought at Skull Tree Brewing. Today, March 31st.

It pours a mostly clear deep gold with over a finger of foam, plenty of lacing.

Smells of citrus hops, grapefruit with a little bit of dankness, some toasted and caramel malt. The nose suggests some firm bitterness.

Very hoppy with a strong grapefruit bitterness..more like a bite after bite. Solid toasted malt backbone, the caramel that I noted in the smell is diminished in the taste. Little bit orange peel is something that I am getting. 7.6% abv this batch is.

Smooth mouthfeel with that grapefruit bitterness lingering through the finish and aftertaste.

Very good and enjoyable to drink. Support your local breweries...

Crowler bought at Skull Tree Brewing, filled today, March 24th.

Pours a clear brownish red or reddish brown. 1" of off white foam, lacing is good.

Smells malty, kinda sweet, spice of cloves, some woody notes from the oak.

Semi sweet taste overall. Caramel, some cloves, woody from the French oak aging. Very little bitterness in this Winter Warmer.

Medium bodied, it does get a little thin in the finish.

Really nice example of the style that is oaked.

Smells of citrus, melon, hints of tropical fruit, cracker malt.

Taste is...tasty. Citrus is grapefruit, melons, cracker malt, light dankness, just right for my palate.

Medium bodied, excellent drinkability!

From a Crowler bought at Skull Tree Brewing.

Pours a clear deep red with an impressive head of foam and lacing.

Notes of caramel malt, toasted malt, citrus and pine in the smell.

Taste has a nice mild sweetness from the caramel malt, a good twang of bitterness from the citrus and pine, has some fruity character to it, and a bit toasty. Delicious.

Medium describes the body and carbonation.

Nice flavourful Red Ale at a lowish abv.
