Sample at the taproom. The beer is a dark brown-black color with a medium creamy light beige head that recedes gradually to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Roast malt, chocolate and coffee aroma. Light-bodied with a roasty malt and coffee character, and some mild chocolate in the background. The finish is sweet and creamy with a roast malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the taproom. Clear brownish-copper color with a medium thick off-white head that dissipates steadily to a film. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, fruit and hops. Light body with flavors of caramel malt, berry and mild hops. The finish is roasty malt up front with a blackberry aftertaste. Decent overall.
