Green glass 750 via Press. Probably paid too much. Mojito glass at home.
Pale golden pour, strong soda head that cascades into nothingness. Mostly clear & boring.
Earthy, grape-y, plastic & faded fennel, clay nose. I am constantly bored by this second level drop off of an apple.
Twangy.
Bittersharp, classic, twangy chardonnay, acidy apple cream.
Strong salinity, twangy apple, long grape floral, extra high acidity, low tartness.
Good+.

750ml bottle from Press online. Mojito glass at home.
Bottle leaked a whole lot in transit. Arrived 80% empty, wet box with the cap intact. Press took care of it, but the dregs are still salvageable.
No pop on the cap, but a little surprising carb on the pour.
Mostly clear, just a bit pissy gold with some protein.
Smell is juicy sweet and tannic, licorice, sweaty and a touch phenolic.
Juicy, a bit thin, moderately tannic, classic bittersweet, sweaty, earthy, just slightly higher acid than expected.
This won an award. Suspect. Checks some basic bittersweet boxes but isn't inspiring at all.

750ml from Press. Bottled April 2024.
Clear, slightly dull, light brown, heady soda splash head.
Fruity, sour red fruit, soft floral, lemon candy nose.
Lemon, acidy, sweet-tart, noticeable berry & lingering leather but it remains bright. Slightly boozy. Stop sign astringency.
Strong, forced lather bubbly, splash of initial sharpness over the lingering tartness.
Decently good. A bit pricey.
