Description

Pours clear, caramelly brown. Small to nearly no white head. Smell is caramelly, breadcrust, light metallic features. Sharp. Taste is rather sharp, very mild bitterness, mild breadcrust, caramel, no real metallicness here, not a whole lot of intensity. Fades fast, leaves some medium sticky maltyness. OK. Medium-low body, medium carbo.

(bottle) Clear, dark brown colour with a beige medium-sized foamy head. Mildly toasted and distinctively nutty malty aroma with notes of caramel and mildly herbal hoppy spice. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Toast-malty, nutty taste with notes of caramel and hints of vanilla; sweet and slightly hop bitter finish with caramel and nuts in the aftertaste. Solid, but not particularly remarkable. 25.VIII.17

Bottled, from Landbierparadies. Cloudy pale orange colour, rich creamy head. Fruity nose with ripe banana and mouldy autumn leafs. Mid sweet with medium body and rounded, spritzy mouthfeel. Light banana flavour, quite fruity. Low bitterness. Refreshing and relaxed, although one of the more shy weizens of Franconia.
