Brown colour. No head. This has a very big spice aroma, with a big ginger, a bit of coconut, a touch of vanilla. The base beer is okay - not really an imperial stout, just a light bodied foreign stout. The spices are intense, lots of mace, coconut, ginger, some dark sugar. It's decent, though.

473mL can, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head. Nose has some spiced notes, coconut, and toasted malt. Flavour has a nice toasted malt base, with coconut, light vanilla, and a touch of coffee. Nicely spiced, nice coconut character; the body is fairly thin, but the malt character is nice. Very good for a thin-bodied, yet high ABV stout.

473mL can. Pours nearly black with a light beige head. Light allspice, nutmeg, vanilla, and bready malts on the nose. Flavour has a good dry malt base, plenty of allspice and nutmeg, coconut, and some vanilla accents. Light body, but the spices are pretty well-integrated with the base beer. I like their Darkside Stout more, but this is still quite good.

On tap at the Darty taproom. Pours very dark brown. Roasted malts, oatmeal, and dark brown sugar on the nose. Flavour has dry roasted malts, oatmeal, dark sugars. This is a fantastic stout, very dry and roasty with good malt depth.

On tap at Battery Park. Pours murky ruddy brown with a white head. Bready malts and black pepper on the nose. Flavour has a great toasted bready malt profile accentuated by these black pepper notes. Not sure where these spicy notes are coming from but it really works. This is one of the best reds I've had in a while.

On draft at the brewery pours murky blonde with a white head. Bright piney hops and some allium on the nose. Flavour has fresh pine, allium, pillowy malts. Not bad.

On tap at the taproom. Pours clear blonde with a white head. Crisp cracker malts on the nose. Flavour has cracker malts, some dry grass. Clean and pleasant enough for the style.

On tap at the brewery. Pours murky dull yellow with a white head. Tons of juicy melon and citrus on the nose. Flavour has juicy citrus and melon/cantaloupe; lightly bitter on the finish. Nice.
