Description
The first record of the inn and brewery “Zum goldenen Engel” in Crailsheim from 1738 reads “annual production volume 150 buckets.” In 1877 George Fachs becomes the new owner of the brewery. The Fachs family still owns - now in the fifth generation - the brewery. In 1984 Engel becomes the first German brewery to bottle Radler. Since the turn of the millennium, Engel-Biermanufaktur has developed into a specialty brewery that regularly receives awards for its beers.

Bottle. Blonde, Grassaroma. Malty grassy flavor. Olive oil. Almost medium bodied. Lingering grassy hopbitter finish. Not my favorite.

Bottle. Deep golden color. Plums in the bready aroma. Medium to full bodied. Apple and plum in the malty flavor. Some floral notes. Tastes a bit cheap somehow.

Bottle. Golden color, hazy. Banana, yoghurt and clove in the aroma. Citrus and banana in the slightly yeasty, almost milky flavor. Decent.

Bottle. Golden color. Soft floral bready aroma and flavor. Malty. medium bodied. Just a hint of floral hops in the aftertaste. Decent balance. Pleased with this one.
