About
The first record of the inn and brewery “Zum goldenen Engel” in Crailsheim from 1738 reads “annual production volume 150 buckets.” In 1877 George Fachs becomes the new owner of the brewery. The Fachs family still owns - now in the fifth generation - the brewery. In 1984 Engel becomes the first German brewery to bottle Radler. Since the turn of the millennium, Engel-Biermanufaktur has developed into a specialty brewery that regularly receives awards for its beers.

[screw cap bottle] Clear, deep golden to amber colour with a loose and slightly tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet cara-malty nose with bready and biscuity accents. 50 cL bottle, courtesy of fonefan. Pours clear and golden yellow with a diminished white head. Sweet malty and slight cornish aroma. Bitter and bubblegum flavoured with a mild estery note on the back of the nose. Ends dry and with a persisting bubblegum note.
