16 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Poured cloudy golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Aroma is odd citrus and a note of cucumber. Yes, I said cucumber. Has a strange green character to it.

The flavor carries over the green (salad) character I food in the aroma. Bitterness is almost harsh with a long lingering affect. Ummm it is not bad, different for sure. Not the best offering from Black Hog by any sense of the imagination.

12oz cab. Lots of caramel malts and bitter hops. Not my bag. Ginger is preceptable and actually works well with the hops. Unfortunately, the hops don’t appeal to me and the sweet malts are too much.

16 oz. can purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Unclear orange yellow-ish color with spiderweb blessing around the snifter. Aroma is a good amount of passion fruit with light grassy hints, maybe some herbal tones.

The passion fruit purée mixed with the two hop varieties blend it together really well. Mild grassy and earthy hops with plenty of passion fruit juice punch. It is balanced really well. No doubt because of the fruit juice. Very tasty. I would buy this again.

16 oz can. Fresh canning of 4/26/2017 purchased at Spruce Creek Provisions. Aroma is pineapple juice, papaya, and honey. The flavor follows. Unfortunately, lots of residual sweetness and sugar. The problem with big IPA’s over 8.5 % is they can become to sweet. This pretty much falls in the "overly sweet" department. Sugar gets a bit much for me to really enjoy it. If they could cut back the malt and unfermented sugar, this would be a whole different beast.

4 oz. sample at AleHouse, Amesbury, MA. Hazy golden appearance, lasting foam. Aroma is purée plum’s, sea salt, mild pale grain. The flavor is extremely well balanced. Plum, soured wheat, and tartness marries really well. Very easy drinking.
