Description
Athenian Brewery SA is one of the leading companies producing and marketing beer in Greece. Founded in 1963 by a group of Greek entrepreneurs and a member of the Group Heineken NV Works based in Athens. The first factory was Athenian Brewery in Athens in 1965 and produced beer Amstel. In 1975 was inaugurated the second factory in Thessaloniki and in 1985 purchased the third , in the industrial area Patras .

Better than the Aris Greek Lager I had but still nothing to write home about. A little malt in the aroma and flavor, but not much else.

Draught, in Athens. Straw colour. Inch-thick head. Fresh hop extract aroma - decent pale lager nose. Crisp, medium bitterness. Limited pale malt background. No other hop character on the palate. Clean, off-dry finish. It’s fine for the style, I guess.
