Sometimes I wonder why the beers I try at this restaurant always seem so different than what prior reviews indicate. Anyway, pours a standard amber from a tap, nose is bland and unimpressive as is the flavor. No grapefruit notes that I can detect. Wrong tap handle? Meh.

Cloudy gold pour with an off-white head and poor retention. Spotty lacing. Soft mouthfeel. Still hard to describe. Honey and bread mixed with light hops. Okay. More Dortmunder than Cech pilsner.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with foamy white head, faint citrus aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter citrusy taste, thin body, medium citrusy finish. Nicely citrusy but not too striking.

Compliments of jwc215...thanks, Joe!
This pours from 12oz bottle a cloudy amber with a nice head of foam that eventually shrinks to a fine layer and has some good lacing.
The smell has a fruity and sweetish nose to it. I like it.
The taste on first sip is big on bread followed by some hop fruitiness and some good caramel malty sweetness. Very tasty.
Further sips in and my palate is really liking this brew. So smooth and yet so tasty....the hops try hard to take over but the more than ample malt presence keeps it in check and makes for some very good balance except in the finish, where it ends up being both bready and slightly bitter. Good aftertaste.
Bottom line: This is a very good APA and I particulary like how neither the hops nor the malt dominates the flavour. I recommend it.

Taster pour at Powder Keg Beer and Chili Festival. Appearance is light brown with a light covering of off-white head, minimal lacing. Aroma is general graininess-- almost metallic--light pilsner-type malts. Taste is mild. Light grain, benign floral sweetness. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and finish as taste, floral to lightly sweet and nondescript malty finish. Overall, this is sort of bland, with some bitterness.

Can. Pours clear golden with large foamy white head, bread aroma, medium carbonation, mildly bitter malty taste, thin body, long malty finish. Not bad, but not as crisp as a Czech Pilsner as well.

Can on MV. Pours clear yellow with a light, creamy whit head. The nose holds dried biscuits, cereal and straw. Light sweet flavour with low bitterness, further cereal, biscuits, white bread. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Moderately clean in the finish, with more biscuity character. A nice, easygoing lager.

Can in MV. Pours totally clear yellow-gold with a creamy, white head. Crispy cereal aroma with a little straw, biscuits. Light sweet flavour with some grassy bitterness, more biscuity malts, a little crunchy cereal. Ligt bodied with averag carbonation. Clean finish, not too sweet, lightly drying, with moderate grassy bitterness, more crispy biscuits. Solid.
