A blonde ale with a thick lacing white head. Pleasant light malt aroma with light Czech hops. In mouth, a light crisp malt with light mineral notes, light hops, boring. On tap at House of Brews, 46th St., July 2 2009. Came as part of Burger special, 10$.

Overall Impression: Pretty tasty winter wheat, that combines the normal wheat beer style with something extra that makes this one a little more unique.

Overall Impression: This was a half decent Blonde, but nothing special, but hey, I don’t love Blondes anyway (the beers that is).

had this on my trip through NYC last year and just found the napkin I wrote it one. Dark with a wispy head. Light sour, roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa (there did seem to be both), with some molasses. Flavor is similar with nice bittersweet chocolate. Lightly dry and sour finish. Thin bodided. Refreshing on this warm evening. (Cask at Blind Tiger)

Cask at Brazen Head - I got this because it was a year old, operating on the assumption that a beer this strong would naturally get better with time - what I discovered is that age will not mellow crappiness - not one bit - hazy orange - aroma of cane sugar sweetness, tangy orange, a bit of dough - fairly innocuous/indistinct, in the nose and on the palate - really sugary sweet and moderately boozy - somehow manages to be thin in body, despite its strength and apparent sweetness - a little bit herbal, with lingering citrus-like tang - extraordinarily one dimensional - lacking any memorable character, unless you count that "man, am I really still drinking this?" factor - meh.
