Can from luekins. A very clear yellow beer. Taste is initially a little slaggy but its not distracting, this actually ads a touch of refreshment to the good level of co2. The nose does have the mild smell of gramma's old permanent hair treatment. Pretty good 1 inch foamy white head. Yea, was expecting something a little more hoppy and I'm glad its not, sticks closely to its blond style, thank you. Easy free spirited and well behaved. Should have saved this one to taste when the wifey is here, she may have found it to be quite acceptable for an unflavored brew. Has many of the qualities of a well behaved cheap pale lager, and I like that. An even keel civilized mannered gentleman, I mean girl. Not bad FF. Reminds me a bit of the original straub hay flavored lager.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very thick, super soapy tan head, about eight centimetres tall that foams immediately out of the top of the can despite not much pressure being detected before opening. Aroma of deep brewed coffee notes with some cascara coffee/tea (skins) there as well along with some nuttines and rustic qualities from the malts and earthiness here. Medium-bodied; Relatively pungent bittered earthier hop flavours show some nice pungency up front and a slight piney and resinous quality, but the coffee notes are stronger and bring out more of a complex and pungent quality at the end that shows almost more of a porter than an IPA, but the hops are very noticeable in a nice way. Aftertaste shows some nice malt notes with a good balance of earth, grain and some bitterness with a slight dose of sweetness at the very end, but this is about the battle of the coffee and earthiness coupled with the bitterness from the alpha acids in the hops, and it's nice to see the balance struck. Overall, a pretty enjoyable IPA for coffee lovers, since the bitterness from the hops is here (justifying the IPA name) and the coffee flavours are not missable, so this is a bit better than others I've had from the style/name with one of the two aspects not present in the actual beer. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can (labelled as 'Constant Motion'), purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 18-December-2021 for US$3,49, sampled at my house here in Washington on 03-April-2022 after running the Cherry Blossom 10miler with my wife.
